Easy tricks for SSC Math–Solution & Answers
1.c) Apply Rule for 3 years
let the sum be P
Difference x100 x 100 x 100 = P x R2 x(300+R) ***** Take R= 5 (for half yearly)
Alternative Way
R=5 T=(3/2) x2=3
In 3 years SI =15 (5×3)
In 3 years CI = 15.7625
So, Diff of SI and CI=.7625
.7625=100
244=?
32000
2.c)
Basic Method
Sum of 11 results = 11 x 50 =550 sum of first six results=49 x 6= 294
Sum of last six result =52 x 6= 312
Required result = (294 +312) -550 = 56
TRICKS
For first six -6 {( 49-50)x6}
For last six +12 {(52-50)x6}
So, net + 6
So, required result
50 +(+ 6) = 56
3.c)
Basic method
Let the S.P for A be X
Then C.P for B will be (110X/100)
C.P for C = (110X/100) + (30/100)110X = 143X/100
According to question
143X/100 =2860
∴X=Rs 2000
TRICKS
Let the price at which A bought is X
2860 = X x (110/100) x (130/100)
∴X=Rs 2000
Alternative way
10+30+(10×30)/100=43%
143%=2860
100=?
2000
4)a)
TRICKS
50 + 50 + (50 *50)/100=125 %
5)
d) Distance = 22x1000m = 22000 m
Circumference of wheel = 2лr
Required revolutions = (22×1000)/2лr =1000
6.d) Area of 1 tile = 4×4 =16 square decimeter
Area of floor = 8×6 = 48 square mt.
Number of tiles = (8x6x100)/(4×4) =300

7.b)
According to question,
1/A + 1/B = 1/5 …..(i)
2/A + 1/3B=1/3 …..(ii)
On solving (i) & (ii) we get
A=6.25 i.e 25/4 days
8.c)
∠A-∠B =15°
∠B-∠C=30°
∠A + ∠B + ∠C= 180°
15° +∠B + ∠B + ∠B – 30° = 180°
So ∠B=65° ∠A=80° ∠C=35°
9.a)
Let marks in science be X & marks in math be Y
∴Marks in English= 2X
According to question
2X +X+Y =180
3X+Y=180 ……(i)
And,
2X/Y = 2/3
Y=3X ……(ii)
Putting the value of Y from (ii) in (i)
∴ 3X + 3X = 180
∴x= 30
10.b)
Basic method
Late sold = 2/5 part
Amount she received = (2/5) x96000= Rs 38400
Loss = 38400x (6/100) =Rs 2304
She has now = Rs 38400-Rs 2304 = Rs 36096
For 10 % profit she needs = 96000 x (110/100) = Rs 105600
But she actually has to learn = 105600-36096 = Rs 69504 (S.P)
Land cost remaining = (3/5) * 96000 = Rs 57600 (C.P)
Profit % = (11904/57600) *100 = 20.66 = 62/3
TRICKS
Let gain percent be =X
96000 x 10/100 x 100 = 96000 {(3/5)X – (2/5)6}
960000= 96000(3X/5 – 12/5)
10 =(3X-12)/5
3X=62
∴X=62/3
Alternative way
For 2/5 part at loss of 6%
He loss for 2 parts =(6×2) =12%
He wants to net gain for 5 parts =5 x 10=50%
So, 3 parts will sell by him= (50+12) =62%
Each part sold by him= 62/3 %
